Meet Kayla Huszar, Therapist for Parents

& Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (she/her)

Registered Social Worker (ACSW), Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), Expressive Art Facilitator, and Certified Fair Play Facilitator.

Location: Leduc, AB

Areas of specialization: Maternal mental health, emotional regulation, ADHD in women, mother-daughter dynamics, mental load, sustainable self-care rituals, and anxiety.

Kayla is a therapist for parents. After a rough transition into parenting, she lost herself for a while. After a long Anxiety/OCD recovery journey, she is passionate about helping parents find more joy and fun in parenting (without all the guilt and extra worry).

She believes you are wildly capable of creating the life you want and that you are already enough; you just might need the right tools to start believing it yourself.

Kayla uses a mix of acceptance and commitment therapy, feminist therapy, expressive art therapy and compassionate inquiry to get to the root cause of your struggle so that you can feel it, process it and heal it.

When not in session, Kayla enjoys time with her family, a good book, hot coffee, art journaling and finding new local places to explore.

Kayla Huszar

I believe that women are not given the tools to succeed in parenting. Constantly striving for an unattainable standard leaves mothers feeling inadequate and overwhelmed.

Through the use of creative arts, there is a beautiful moment of sacred stillness. A simple act of intentional creativity can remind a mother of who she is, what is truly important, and what she is capable of.

I aim to provide the best creative arts services both online and in person, because every mother deserves a simple and effective outlet for finding chill, being vibrant and feeling alive.
